I’m offering TWO Live Looping Labs at TaborSpace in SE Portland on Sun June 10th. Register here.

OPTION 1 – LOOPING FOR NEWBIES, 1:30 – 3, $15 early bird / $20 after June 1.
This workshop is for those who are new to looping and have yet to consistently create a first loop in time. Looping (at least creating the first layer!) requires a precise sense of time. In this class, we will practice rhythm exercises to develop your internal metronome, practice seamless looping of simple rhythms, and learn the simple functions of most loopers.
OPTION 2 – BECOMING A LOOPADOUR, 3 – 4:45, $20 early bird / $25 after June 1.
This workshop is for those who have some experience looping and have some confidence in their ability to create loops in time, but would like to improve their skills and generate new ideas. We will explore building songs with the looper, technical considerations, and avoiding common looping pitfalls. We will also co-create group loops in real time with a Boss 300 loop station.

If you would like to learn more about songwriting, singing, ukulele, guitar, music theory, or looping skills, please sign up here and select “private session” and then “private music lesson”. I am happy to share my knowledge with students of all ages.
